Our specialty is mining in Lightning Ridge for the world famous
black opal.
We are
committed to knowing the origin of a gemstone as
we
are passionate about making jewellery where we know the history
of the
gemstones we use in our creations.
Not only do
we manufacture quality jewellery, we also mine
the opal
ourselves, this allows us
to be involved in every step of the
creation of
your special piece from start to finish.

Gibson
Corey Gibson
was born in Sydney,
Australia.
He started
his working life at the age of 15, as an apprentice Shipwright.
Where
he worked on some of Australia’s largest motor yachts.
On completion
of his apprenticeship Corey found himself continuing
his
training in welding and metal fabrication.
Through his
career path he has discovered the benefits of CAD/CAM
designing, and
the precision and beauty of Jewellery.
By combining
all his work skills, Corey is forging ahead in
Jewellery
design, and creating future family heirlooms.
Not content to
stop at the bench, Corey has expanded into the
mining of the
gemstones he uses and now mines
the
famous black opal
from Lightning Ridge, NSW.
Also wanting
to be involved in the entire process, from mining the
earths rough
treasures and turning them into gemstones of beauty
he has
recently completed training in the highly skilled art of
faceting
gemstones where his passion is in the cutting of Sapphires
from the well
known New
England region of NSW.
Corey has
already gained a 3rd place in his first national competition
for the
cutting of gemstones.
In 2008 Corey
has totally immersed himself in the gem fields of NSW
by
calling Lightning Ridge home and Inverell his home away from
home.
Philosophy of
design
